My Rooster is a Weirdo

My rooster has been coming out of the coop and everything is totally normal until he does his little dance for the hens. He starts his dance and then... Nothing. From what I can tell, They aren’t exactly saying no, but for some reason it’s like he loses interest in mating by the time he’s done.

He’s about 4 years old so, I wasn’t sure if it was an age thing? It just seems kind of out of character for him to not show much interest.

It’s probably a stupid question but this is the only rooster I’ve ever had and he’s fascinating.

What is the dance like? My rooster does this thing where he prepares for about 2 minutes then he flies in a semi-circle then crows but he is only about 7 months old.

Oh interesting!

I mean... It's pretty typical as far a mating dances go. He drops one of his wings and does a quick shuffle with his feet in front of the hen he’s trying to mount.
