My rooster sounds like a rubber chicken

My kids have a box of rubber chickens that they like to tape to their feet so they squeek with every step. Then they blindfold one kid and have the blindfolded kid beat the other kids with a pool noodle when they hear the rubber chicken squeek from walking. The internet has taught this generation some wild things.

Anyway, I have a new up and coming rooster who has been crowing two weeks or so now and sounds exactly like the rubber chickens my kids use on their feet. Is he imitating the "crows" he hears from my kids or will he grow out of it when he grows out of his awkward teen phase or is he defective? (We love our defective animals almost as much as we love our off brand children lol).

Any thought are appreciated. Except parenting advice, the chicken noodle game is freaking hilarious and the grown ups have fun playing too.

When a cockerel starts crowing it can be hilarious. They each can have unique crows even when adult but he should grow out of that squeaky phase. Sounds perfectly normal.

Your kids are a bad influence on your chickens! Haha just kidding. I think those rubber chickens are designed to sound like young roosters not the other way round. Just don’t let the chickens tape the kids to their feet and everything should be ok!
