My roosters butt is bright red

I have a one year old plymouth rooster his butt is a very bright red it has been this way for a few weeks. I have checked for lice or mites and could not find any. It doesn't seem to be bothering him but it doesn't look normal. He is my favorite rooster and I just wanna make sure he's ok
