My rooster walked like he was drunk in the morning and now he can't even stand on his on two feet with out falling over, he isn't closing his eyes and he looks perfectly healthy only that he can't walk with out falling over on his side or face. So i'm thinking it might have something to do with his feet because they look different from my other rooster's feet which are orange(his name is nacho) and the one rooster who is sick( his name is chino) are white with small red dots on them. I'm thinking that he somehow got something wrong with his feet and i don't know what to do about! i don't want him to die! please who ever reads this can come up with a solution on how to save him!!

I am losing three hens ! they are walking funny, and one is dying. I suspected food poisoning or botulism. I am trying to find help for that right now !!

Are any of them curling their necks shakeing their heads? I have a 12 week old silkie that I am trying to find help for. Seems just lay and head is off to one side. when I pick her up, the neck curls under her body and she shakes her head. I have tried olive oil and massaged her throat to see if something was stuck, but no luck. All of the other seem find.

I was expecting that one hen will die over night, but she is still alive this morning ! but she is very weak an paralized. when I pick her up, she cant hold her head up. she wont drink water, she is not shaking, but jerks a little bit. I am not brave enough to kill her. Its sad ! The other hen looks ok, they are just sitting there. Its possible the feed may have something to do with it, I dont see any molds or it didnt smell funny. I had to throw it away. I am infested with mice I wonder if thats whats making them sick..

Three days later my hen is still alive ! Still paralyzed. But she is eating and drinking well. This afternoon I notice she is able to move her legs more. maybe theres a chance she will walk again..
Ilovemyanimals5 hows your rooster?

Did you find out what is wrong? My chook is very similar, can't stand but she's trying to eat but moving her head weirdly and falls on her bum. It's like her legs don't work. She looks like she wants to die tho...

Janine989 I am not 100 percent sure what happens to my hens, but it started the day I fed them that morning. . Late afternoon, all three were acting weird the same time !, Thats was my first thought, possible food poisoning. I threw the bag of feed away. The next day two of my hens were getting better except one hen paralyzed. It was awful, she was on her side , very stiffed leg , acting like she was going to die. I have no heart to kill her ! I was hoping someone else will do it for me ! But I didnt have a chance go ask for help. The next day I was hoping she will passed, The next morning, I was like your kidding me!? she was still alive!. She wont drink water or eat. Three days later, she was able to move her head and able to drink water. I gave her canteloupe holding her. 4 days later she wants so badly to get up, and is very weak . she didnt want to give up. Hopefully she will get her strength back soon !

how did your hens turn out? i'm having similar problems with my silkie. it's been 3 days and shes still alive. she wabbles and her head is turned funny. at first i thought it was impacted crop, then i thought she was starved out by others. i'm feeding her every 1.5 hours with medicine dropper. shes eating and pooping but not much else. how did your hens turn out??

Can you provide pictures of these red spots on their legs? I had a rooster who became listless and clumsy after an outbreak of mites. He could barely stand and he certainly couldn't walk and constantly tripped and fell over. He couldn't eat or drink even with my assistance after only two days of this he died and it wasn't until then that I realized that it was because he had become anemic.
