My Russian Orloff just died :(

My showmanship chicken, the one I won Reserve Grand Champion Sr. Poultry Showman with two weeks ago at the county fair, just died last night.

The other birds picked her apart. I am so sad. I'm shocked. I just can't believe it. I thought she would live for a long time and always be a reminder of that red rossette. I wanna cry just writing this.

I'll try to post a photo of her at the Fair later.

Yeah, it was her "coop mates". Which is the odd part. I've had birds commit canabalism before, but this flock never had, which is why I'm so shocked. The flock is a lot of barred rocks.

so sorry to hear this. I think thats what happened to my first roo I brought home. My orloff hen isn't laying now, or I'd offer you some eggs!
