So I also went to the Northeast Poultry Congress show today. I've been saving my dollars from Christmas and working some extra hours at work with the hopes of buying a nice pair of calls at this show. Well 7 calls and no more money later..... and still one more to come! I will pick up the female to the pied male this next weekend. The female was in the show and placed so I couldn't get her today. Heres some pics of the seven I got. Not the colors I had planned on but they seem pretty nice.

They are all gorgoeus. And such a variety of colours too. Im sure it will seem like a long wait before you can pick up your last little duck.

It hard to stick to plans when you see so many beautiful ducks all in the one place. I was suppoed to be going to a poultry auction today. I only had 1 bird in mind to buy- a Crested Indian Runner. But i knew if I went- I would have bought more. In the end I chose not to do the three hour each way drive- and now just found out the duck in question went for half what I was willing to pay for her. I am kicking myself so hard right now.

I know what you mean! When I left with 7 I thought, uh oh, maybe I over did it! Oh, what a bummer about the crested. Well, there are lots of fish (ducks) in the sea. You will find that next one and it will be even better!
