Ok, here's the situation. I have a few cornish babies (6 weeks old) and one of them came down sick. The first one that got sick died before I even knew he was sick.

Well, another one got sick and I caught her before she got too far in her sickness. I brought her in the house, lined a big box with a towel and paper towels. I gave her some cantoloupe and yogurt. I took her with me every where I went and she seems to be doing a little better. But now she won't shut up if I leave her, she wants to be with me all the time now.

She flies out of her box if I leave her. But as soon as I take her out she settles down and hardly makes a peep.

what are the symptoms of the "sickness"?
describe the droppings..color and consistency..

what are you feeding?
how much are you feeding?
(cornish /meat birds are fed differently the layers.)

She is doing alot better this morning than she was yesterday morning. All she wants is for me to hold her, if I take her out of her box and set her next to me she goes right to sleep.I so hope she makes it, she has become my baby(literally, lol).

Her droppings were like water with just a little bit of red/green in it. Now her droppings are alot more solid and have regular color. She is not a cornish cross, she is a pure cornish. She eats chick food, usually 20%. I give them the best food our feed store has to offer. Right now I'm feeding her yogurt and fruit, following with oatmeal a few hours later. She also has some crumble in there if she wants that. I dip her beak in water and she usually drinks for me.

I think I'm doing everything I possibly can for her, she is staying in the house with me right now and will stay in the house until she gets better. She is a bossy little thing, if shes hungry she lets me know. She also has decided that I will hold her or shes gonna keep flying out of her box.

Is she dangerous to my other pets? I have dogs and cats in the house too. Will she get better? I mean, is there something I gotta do? I don't have hardly any experience with sickness, for as long as I've had chickens, I hardly ever have one get sick.
