my silkie hen is mollting and has not liad an egg since

my silkie stopped layimg and is moltting is this normal , if so how long

They quit laying when they are molting, growing in those new feathers takes a lot of energy! Many birds won't start laying again until next spring, it's nature's way of giving their bodies a rest from the drain of egg production.
