You can't hard boil fresh chicken eggs.
But she didn't say why. Does anyone know?
I also wondered how long it's safe to keep eggs if you do refrigerate compared to if you don't refrigerate.

Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.

The shells often stick, so maybe she just meant you can't boil them with good results?

But the eggs will hard boil.

But there are some tricks to getting the shells not to stick.

I always boil eggs. I put them in a pot of water. Once it boils I turn off the heat & cover the pot. I use a timer for how I want - soft, med. or hard boiled. Then I pour off water and replace with COLD water.

I put about an inch of water in a sauce pan, boil, place eggs in, turn heat down, place lid on pan and "steam" for 10 min. Immediately rinse with cold water. Even fresh eggs peel easily. I have also cooked them in the instant pot - I think 6 min, but can't remember without looking up the times. They also turned out and were easy to peel.
