This hatch was my tux hatch. I put Tiger Millionaire, my pharaoh tux roo, with 4 Tibetan and Rosetta hens. I set 12 of their eggs, I also set 3 eggs that are from one of my rosettas, I believe Gobbles, the darkest one ( looks like a turkey). These eggs are very large compared to the rest, and the eggs are a darker more matte blue color. Not like a startling difference, but enough that I notice and can pick them out. The one in the center is one of them:
I don’t expect much from these 3 eggs, last hatch I got 2 super dark rosettas, so I believe Aragorn fathered them. I want to add options to increase the size and beauty of my eggs once my line is producing colors I want. Having 3 very diverse Roos helps Id the paternity of chicks, and this time I believe Big Red fathered them, and I received 3 lovely bright ginger chicks, one is possibly the most beautiful chick Ive hatched so far. I don’t know what to name it, I’m pretty sure my daughter wants to call it Freddy Fazbear. I hope it’s a girl tho:
Last night when I moved them to the brooder, they were still a bit damp, but I had to open the incubator to rescue a stuck chick so I took them out as well, I just assumed they were more run of the mill rosettas, I was so pleasantly surprised this morning!
