My temp spiked to 106 ...eep!!!

my brand new LG spiked to 106 while i was sleeping yesterday should i bother to finish out the hatch?

You won't loose anything by letting it go a few more days then candling.

What day are you on? And how long do you think it was too high?

Even in nature those things happen. Try to candle Day 14 and see what you have- don't give up yet. I have found that sniffing each egg while candling will tell you a lot.

Mine spiked to 110 for about an hour, and another spike of 104 for a few hours, and I have 8 newborn chicks from that hatch- only one didnt make it.

10 eggs today is day 5 it was 101 when i went to bed and 108 when i got up

You might be okay, just give it a try. But do give them a sniff test daily!

You don't know when the temp spiked. It might have been several hours, but it might have been half an hour.
