My turkey laid three eggs!!!

This morning my BBW wasn't out of the pen so I went looking for her and she was in the coop laying an egg!!! So upon further investigation there were 3 eggs in the coop! I was so surprised! I took them out because I don't have a tom so they aren't fertilized and I know BBW's have to have "help" anyway. But I was just thrilled to find them anyway.

Congrats! Mine started laying last week too, I love to look at turkey eggs.

Get a Heritage breed tom and he can breed her successfully. I know a guy who had a Royal Palm tom and a BB White hen and they produced several hatches.

If I can find a heritage tom I will get one, I have been looking. I was just so surprised to find the eggs, I feel so dumb.

I have a young Bourbon Red tom I will give to you if you want to drive to southern Illinois to get him. I have 1 too many and don't really want to kill him if someone would like to make him a pet.
