My two Chinese Painted Quail :)

I bought these two male quail from a small petshop with waay too small cages and stuff! I felt sorry for them so I bought them both! I asked for some females but the pet shop owner said no one has them anymore! So I contacted the local breeder and his babies will be ready end of August. I was thinking of buying abt 5 females!









The aviary is still a little dry but I'ts winter here in Namibia at the moment so I'll probably buy some more when it gets warmer!

Cute! Looks like they have a nice enclosure...large and one big dust bath area!

, the aviary is about 3m long, 2.30m wide and 2.20 high! I've tried planting grass there but both the budgies and the quail rip it apart!

You could try putting in cut branches for a brush pile. The quail would love that. I use fake christmas trees in my bob aviary so I don't have to work with branches all the time or drag in mites.

that's a great idea! I used some small curved twigs to build a kind of cave and threw leaves over it so now they have a cave made from twigs and leaves! But I'll be sure to get some large branches in there as well! thanks
