My weird Leghorn chicken stands in the ice cold water. Is this normal or even ok?

My daughter-in-law asked me if my leghorn Queen Roselina (named by my granddaughter), walks in the freezing water to break through the ice. I said that I have no idea, because she does it in the Summer and Fall as well. I just worry about her getting frostbite on her feet and legs. The temperature was -2degrees this morning when I let them out of their coop and into their pen.

What is she thinking? I'd be afraid she could get frozen to the ground. Maybe you could put something above the water bowl so she can't get in it, or use a drinker with a narrow trough.
Thanks for the idea. I’ve been trying to figure something out. I think she is a “feather brain”🤪.
None of the other chickens do that, at least I haven’t seen them do it. 🤷🏻‍♀️
