Hey this is my first post on the forums. I have been lurking around for a bit and the family and I have been planning to get some chickens for a few months. We just got 6 chicks, 3 Amercauna's and 3 RIR. I just started constructing out coop and run which is a conglomeration of a bunch of plans and pictures from this site. I am trying to reuse old materials, and you will see them in the pictures as I post my progress.

Day 1. Foundation Lines laid out and piers in place

Day two of construction saw some framing with 4x4 posts cut and in place, and used 4x6's to form the floor of the storage area. Also used 4x6's to frame the floor of the girls' area.

the angled pieces on the sides are not the actual roofline, just temp supports to hold it all square.

And thats the end of day two...I will be taking a break for work related training but will post more progress in the next couple of days.

Been Getting a lot of work done the last couple of days...I will be starting the run today!!

Nice building skills...I'm liking how you are going about the assembly.

The finished product is going look awesome...and I must say that your property is just wonderful looking. Very nice, I looking forward to following this project.

Got a lot of work done on the run today despite the off and on rain. I forgot to take another one when I quit for the day. I started to hang some wire in the run.

Got lots done today finished almost all of the wire, dug trenches to bury leftover roof peices to provide a barrier around the run to prevent diggers and keep the sand in the run.

Now I need to do more detail work, like the clean-out doors, storage doors and the run people door, chicken ramp and roosts. I will also be making my own pvc waterer's and feeders.

I have the girls out in their new house now...I'll get some more pictures up soon.
