I have one little Araucana hen which is clean faced and tailed. Under normal circumtances she would have been culled, but she was raised as an only chick on my desk, and has been allowed roam freely in the front yard since she was very young. She lays and broods three clutches each year, but she is a little trollop. She chooses a different cock for each clutch. Here she is with her latest batch of 11, and their daddy.
What is really interesting about these eleven chicks is that they are 1/2 Black Copper Marans, but there are two almost white chicks, two wheaten, and the balance are black including five with feathered legs.
