Hi,
It seems my turkeys have mycoplasma infection. They were sneezing and sounding like they had respiratory issues as well as a couple had some lameness issues. Unfortunately one of the5 did not make it. I treated with tylan 200 2.5cc 2x a day for 5 days. Yesterday was first day with no antibiotics. I am also syringe feeding them yogurt with vitamins and they have water with electrolytes. 2 of the turkeys Still look like they have puffy face sinuses And look tired in the eyes still. This morning it was colder out and the two that still do not look like they feel good were cold and a little shivering here and there. I went and bought heat lamps for tonight. I put them in sun and no more shivering. They are not eating much. One of the turkeys that still doesn't feel good has a darker almost purplish color on his snood and portion of gobbler. Has anyone experienced this?

I also purchased a fogger and Oxine that is arriving today.

my question is should I continue giving antibiotics to the two that still seem sick or will that be too much and the antibiotics I ha e would be enough and it may just take these two a little longer to feel better? I do t want to overdose them if that will do more harm than good.

thanks for the help!

Very sorry you've run into this with your turkeys! Mycoplasma Gallisepticum is a difficult condition to deal with in birds, but some people decide to. I have with some of mine. It sounds like you've searched out some useful ideas for treatment.
If you'd like more information on using Oxine, I've added a Chlorine Dioxide for Respiratory Sickness page on PoultryPedia.com specifically about using it.
