Mysterious Plant (Just out of curiosity…)

Hi all. So I know this is a chicken forum, BUT I have found lots of information for other things (and this is the only place I can think of that has so many polite people willing to share knowledge).

This isn’t urgent. I’m just curious about what kind of plant this is.

The leaves look kind of like dandelions but they’re not. I don’t know what they are.

That is different looking ... where are you located? Don't need your address, just what country or state, a nearby big city - something to help us know about where you are on this planet.
It is a weed you found growing in the yard or a potted plant you bought?

It is actually a plant in my friend’s greenhouse. So the story goes:

She got a plant from someone’s funeral and the plant that was in the pot died. After the plant died, a fern started growing out the bottom of the pot and the plant in the picture above started growing in the pot. She says she has no idea what it is and she has never seen it before. It was not the same plant that was in there before.

We are near Butler, Georgia, USA
