Mystery bantam roo

Sorry, the picture is a bit blurry. Any ideas on what breed this little guy is. He is a bantam and the egg he came from was light brown. He has a single comb and grey legs as you can see. I think that coloring is birchen but I have no idea what breed or cross he might be. Thanks so much!

The eggs came from an old farmer that couldn't say what his breed was, just that they were bantams.

Oh, I hope not either! I incubated the eggs for my friend last spring who wasn't too picky about what breed, they just wanted to start a flock. I haven't seen him since fall, I may have to take a drive over there. She's still new to chickens and may not know what to look for.

Thanks so much for the suggestions, it was driving me nuts what they could be as I couldn't find a match in my books. They were cute chicks, I was sorry to give them up. I didn't consider game bird.
