I'm still trying to find out the breed of my little 7week old mystery bantam, Duchess Simone. I'm 100% she is a pullet, thankfully, but I have not been able to determine what she is. I threw her into the Easter Egger category because I just didn't know. I love EE's so I wouldn't be upset, I just like to know if possible what I have in my flock.

Could she be an EE? She does not have puffy cheeks like all my other EE chicks have had and her legs are light gray, not greenish like my other EE. Her coloring is an off white/gray with just a touch of brown.

Any guesses on breed and what this type of coloring is called??

yeah that's a EE.. she does have green legs, they're just light, and she does have puffy cheeks.. It's just not very much. With EE's you will get a lot of different things since they are crosses... They can come yellow, white, black, blue, and green legged, Any comb though peacomb is most common, Lay blue, green, brown, white or pink... etc..

In the top picture I didn't realize that the frizzle in the back was all the same bird - lol. I thought it was a toy or something in the pen and the head was another bird looking around from the back. I didn't realize until I got to the second picture that it was all one bird!

Yes, they are slate colored and if she has puffy cheeks, I certainly don't see them yet. In the photo it may appear that she does so I will try and get one head on. They are as flat as my other non-EE chicks

My other "supposedly" EE banty has dark gray legs and lays brown eggs. I guess I'll wait and see what color she lays in a few months and if her cheeks poof out more

And thank you, I was wondering if that was her coloring. I love EE's so it's not a problem if that is what she is, I just always like to know what I have and she has been a totally different looking chick from day one. I got her in the straight run banty mix bin so who knows!
