My husband came home today with EE, BR and SLW day old chicks that had just arrived at the feed store. There is a mystery chick in the group. It is suppose to be one of the 5 SLW we ordered but it definitely does not look like the other 4.
This chick is black but has none of the white markings like the other SLW and no dot on its head like BR. It has very small white tuffs over its ears and wings are sort of grayish.
It is the smallest chick of the 11 he brought home...could it be a EE?? My husband said there were 2 clerks catching the chicks and putting them in a box but the chicks were leaping out of the box as fast as they put them in.
He did not know what other breeds they had in the brooder.
