I bought this love from my local feed store on march 14th. She was a day or 2 old at the time and very unique. They had just begun their "chick days" and gotten their first order of Rhode island red chicks in and this little one was mixed in. Obviously not a RIR so I snatched her up because I love a good guessing game. She was very light and had faint striping on her back like a chipmunk. She is now just shy of 8 weeks old and getting pretty. I found out the other day that the feed store orders their chicks from Privett Hatchery in NM and looking through the birds they have available I think I've narrowed it down to maybe a New Hampshire Red, I don't think so though, or maybe a Welsummer? I guess she could be a RIR but she looks like none of my others and over the years I've probably raised close to 20 RIRs lol. Help!! It's been driving me crazy for weeks!
