I have a one year old lavender orpington hen who was sick with some mystery Illness about two weeks ago. 3 days in the house, and she was fine.

I just found her again today, with the same symptoms (lethargic, pale comb, not eating or drinking.) She's indoors again.

None of my other chickens are sick. No signs of mites, not egg-bound, no external injuries.

Since this is her second time in two weeks I'm wondering if anyone has ideas what this might be, that I could look into.

what have you done in the past to treat her?

Last time I thought she was egg bound, so I did epsom salt baths, calcium, etc. She stayed in a warm, quiet kennel. I also fed her well, added vitamins to her food, electrolytes to her water. Broad spectrum, basically. When she felt better she just popped up and was back to normal, and has been fine since until today.

Last time, I noticed she was sick first thing in the morning. She was still sitting normally, just not getting up unless she was prodded. Today, I didn't notice any difference in the morning, then I went and ran errands for a couple of hours, when I came back she was laying down completely with her head on the ground.

Feed her electrolytes with a syringe and see if she feels better in a couple of hours. Please update us on her progress.
