Mystery Killer ??!

Hi , my neighbours chickens have dissappered?! Something got into the coop/run this afternoon and now they have all gone. We have found one at the top of the garden that has no feathers or head on ? We thought it maybe a fox but didnt think they normally ate them ? Does anybody have any idea what it could be ? There are several of us along our street that all have chickens and we are now quite worried . We have no idea where the rest of the chickens are , we are a small village where everyone knows everyone so if there were some loose chickens one of us would know who they belonged to. Any ideas would be appreciated

Fox will... Hawks... raccoons... even in day light if they are hungry, need to feed kits... The other chickens are probably scared, but will come out of hiding as soon as they feel it is safe. I'd double check your coop and run for security until ya'll find the culprit.

thanks... Im not sure it would be a hawk or racoon as Im in the UK ! My neighbour has recently moved in and had some netting over the top of her coop as a tempory measure while she was building her run , but we both have roaming chickens either side of her and have never had anything like this happen before, our main thinking is that it is a fox as they have been known around our way, but thought it might have gone for ours as they are out in the garden ?!

Most likely fox or dog. The old saying, "There's a fox in the hen house," didn't arise from nothing you know.

would a fox be likely to strip the feathers off the body ?! Its all a bit mysterious!
