Mystery Poop in Bamboo Stand

A couple weeks ago in early morning a large bird in bamboo patch pooped on me in a big way. At time I could identify. Yesterday evening I think bird species became known. A Red-shouldered Hawk is roosting in there with all sorts of other birds that number in the hundreds.

Hawk came back at about same time. It is a yearling

Isn't that supposed to be lucky? I can only imagine the size and composition of that poo...

Hawk back this evening. It does appear to have a method for catching songbirds going to roost. I think it is here every evening, but not able to see if it is actually roosting in the bamboo. Very soon the resident adults will try to run it off.
