I've named him Gregory Peck.
He appeared in our backyard about 3 days ago and has taken up residence somewhere behind the shed.
He's a very pretty rooster and he crows a lot. I live rurally and there's a few groups of chickens just wandering around wild. None of them are very close to where i live, but i think he may have run off from one of them. However, he doesn't look like the chickens that run rampant around here. They're all white, and as you can see (he's my display picture) he's very colourful. We always wanted chickens and as he seems quite happy in the backyard and we live some way away from any other neighbours and roads, we figured he's quite welcome to stay. A hen has also been sighted in the backyard and we think they might be friends. If this turns out i'm thinking of renaming the pair Bonnie and Clyde. What i'm wondering though, is what kind of chicken is he? i don't know what the hen looks like nor do i have a picture of her (i haven't seen her, but another family member has).
Help?
