Hi, I am Diane and new to BYC and to chickens in general. I have wanted chickens for a while we just weren't allowed to have them at our old house (we were in an HOA). We recently moved from said 1//3 acre HOA home to a wonderful 14 acres in the north GA mountains! I bought some chickens from a lady that had to downsize her flock before we even moved and a wonderful friend fostered them for me until we could take them. We finally moved, got to a point where we could bring the chickens home and then promptly bought 6 chicks at TSC (they are now around 8 weeks old). So we have 10 chickens 9 hens and a roo, Henry. We have been enjoying the antics of all our tiny velociraptors and are amazed at the range of vocalizations they have!
I am learning every day. I'm in National Ladies Homestead Gathering (www . NLHG . org) and get a lot of knowledge and support from them but I am always looking for more information and support! I am hoping this will be the place to find that.
