I haven't posted in a while about my babies- its been a hard few months. We lost Matilda, who was an olive egger, and a beautiful loving girl. We also lost ducks- Aria, Precious, Francine, Molly, Bonnie, Clyde, our ducks. We had a coyote and fox attack. We are so saddened and heart hurt. But we do have Midnight and Nadin, our bantams, (don't let my other chicks know but Nadin is my precious boy) and they had babies

Its hard to get Nadin and his son to stand still, but they look so similar! His sons name is Lord Baltimore Augustine. And them Midnight got broody again, abd had three more chicks. Their names are Constantine, Star, and Moonlight. Constance is actually our only silkies child, has black skin... I snuck an egg in!

Sorry to read about the losses...is there anything we can advise to help prevent additional predator losses?

I dont think... I did put a cage up for my ducks, I'm sorry I didn't do it sooner. I used to let them roam do they could go to the creek and the pond, now they just have a kiddie pool. That fox came every day it's so sad

Those losses are hard to take. Hope things are going better for you and your birds now. :hugs
