Naked Neck Breed Standards

Can anyone tell me the breed standards for naked necks are for show?

Male, female or both? And what color? they are standardized in Black, white, red, and buff.

I heard that the bird must be banded - what does that mean and who does that?

Usually the NPIP tester will band your bird after they certify them not to be carriers of PT.

Editted to add that I dont know that much about the breed, and not sure if the partdrige is a recognized color.

Partridge is not a recognized color yet, but you can still show it.

The leg band is used for ID purposes and is just a little plastic band, you will enter the number on the entry form as well as whether a cockerel, a male under a year old. A cock, a male over a year old. A pullet, a female under a year old. Or a hen, a female over a year old. The bird will also have to have a NPIP cert. What I would reccomend is that you attend some shows and mingle with the exhibitors and ask questions before showing yourself. Remember that at a show as in here you have poultry in common with everyone there so don't be shy!
