Name that silkies colour!

Well, I aquired this silkie cockeral a couple weeks ago. He was advertised as a partridge(no pics, but wasn't really picky just wanted to hatch some broodies). But he was so far away an aquaintance of mine picked him up on her way through there, and dropped it off at a friends house.
Both my friend and I use to breed very good quality Partridge and Blue Partridge silkies so I was kinda worried when she texted me "dunno what to call his colour"......... So I drove to pick him up and yep, dunno what to call that colour, but it aint partridge. He is pretty, and decend quality for a 5 month old from unknown origin.

Anyone want to guess what made that colour and what to name it? My guess would be partridgeXgrey? What would I get from him over my partidge hen?

Sorry for the bad picture but he is far from tame and had a fit when I sat in the enclosure trying to take pics so I held him and made a pic with my phone(holding him was too close for our digital camera).

He is all silkie, silkie crosses look a whole lot different, at least any I have ever raised the past 8-9 yrs. Just the colour has me stumped, I have never been a fan of crossing colours and never done it myself when it comes to the silkies. Just trying to figure what colours were crossed to create him.

What you have there is a 'Tortoiseshell' silkie. It is not an APA accepted color, but it's still a very attractive variety. It is quite rare.

I think that is a calico. Pretty sure.
