Name the chicken of the egg ...

Went to a farm & the farmer handed my husband a blue green egg to eat. I put it in the bator instead but husband has no clue what name the farmer used. Can anyone name some breeds? I know it was not an EE as he had mentioned earlier that he wishes he would have kept his.

Of course I need 500 posts before I can upgrade & delete a posting & husband remembers after its sent to the board. He said it was the Americana chicken.

A blue-green egg would have come from an Easter Egger chicken.

I'll find a link to the differences between an EE and an Ameraucana... hang on.
