Does anyone else have a chicken that likes to nap?

My white star, Matilda, seems to love it! She'll come up the stairs into my living room, perch on the back of the sofa and close her eyes.
Right now she's snoozing on the kitchen floor, after a good half-hour preen to get the rain out of her feathers. She's always the first one to lay down in the sun too, and once I caught her asleep under a bush!

It's ok, right? She's not poorly - she's always done it!

All 6 of mine take siestas during the day. They preen for a few minutes then settle down in a 'chicken puddle', so I think your chicken is 'normal'.

Sounds normal to me. Mine take naps during the day as well. I love sleepy chickens!

Mine crowd onto a log pile of branches for firewood and old rails for fencing. THey all settled down for a quiet rest in a rather orderly fashion. Each about the same distance from another, some higher than others, but no one under a bird perched higher. I sat to watch one day--they look like chaos until I sat to truely see the order of their positions. Interesting creatures!

Mine like to nap, too. They get under my husband's boat, take a dust bath, then settle in it. I even caught one snoring once. Lucky chickens! I want a nap!
