Narragansett ran away from home

We had our 1 1/2 year old Narragansett tom walk away from our property a few days ago. It has never so much as 40 feet from the coop. We saw it across the street that afternoon, but when we tried to get it to head back it kept going away into the woods.
Any idea if it will make its way back? It's been lining on the roof of the chicken cool for its whole life.

Too many stories of wandering turkeys showing up at people's houses to not keep a turkey penned up. Many will follow wild turkeys. Do you have any other turkeys? You could try luring it with Turkey calls. Around here turkey season is open again, so for it's own safety hopefully you catch it.
