Narragansett Tom

Well, I was thinking I would keep the tom confined to a horse stall for a month or so to get him acclimated to the new home. I was afraid that he would get lonely, as I have read that they really like companions. He would be just on the other side of a wire wall from a bunch of chickens though. But I was hoping that when he gets acclimated he could go out with the free range chickens and they would provide him some companionship. Sounds like he should be ok!

Also, does anyone have a good suggestion where I could get some Naragansett hen poults come spring. I would just want to get a couple 2 or 3, not a minimum of 15, like I saw at MurrayMcMurray.

Check your local feed store, craigs list, or local sale paper. This time of year people are selling Thanksgiving turkeys so you could line up some poults for the spring.
