I have 4 week olds in the brooder and they were being attacked by the Tibetans! I have browns, 2 goldens. 4 whites, and 3 tibetans. I had to move the tibetans to a seperate brooder because of the blood shed. The three seem perfectly content without the others. Is this normal?

They are beautiful birds I love the feather color. Will they ever be ok mixed back in to the group? Should I just keep them in their own pen?

A coturnix is a coturnix, and they are by far the most brooder friendly game birds on the planet!

4 week old coturnix roos should be ready for their big boy pens. They are teen-angers on steroids and the hens soon follow. The Tibetans (Rosetta pattern) and even the wild/brown patterns tent to be a bit more (flighty) than other colors, but, a coturnix roo of any color/pattern is a force to be reckoned with. They can actually sex your non-color sex-able birds long before you do.

I would also like to stress, that what one person sees as an "Attack", may be normal pecking order, or breeding behavior in coturnix.
