My one Muscovy duck lays eggs ONLY in water? What is up with this?

One egg did sink, one another duck broke before I found it......... it's just really odd isn't it? I WANT the eggs,but they lay at night and before I can get out there at 7am , its either soft or broken? NOONE else has had this happen? Terrielacy?come on.someone must know what to do ?

Ducks usually lay in the early hours so if you keep her penned up away from the pond/pool until late morning you should be able to get your eggs.
