natural but effective lice treatment

I am quite sure at least two of our chickens have lice. It seems like most people report success using chemical treatments like sevin & frontline, but I haven't found much about treatment with DTE and/or wood ash. I'd like to try these first, can anyone share their experience?

I think I have seen some threads on here about natural treatments. Try typing in natural treatments for lice in the search bar. Sorry, I'm not much help otherwise but good luck.
