I ordered 4 ducklings (2 Khaki Campbells and 2 indian runners) and 15 pullet chicks (5 RIRs, 5 white Leghorns, 3 Ameraucanas, 2 Buff Orpingtons) from Nature's Hatchery.
I ordered online over a weekend and then called on Monday to get shipping dates. The shipping dates they gave me were August 24th for the ducklings and August 26th for the chicks.
The ducklings shipped right on target and arrived on the 26th all safe, happy, and healthy (with a heating pack). I also got one extra indian runner in the box! Woohoo!! The postmark labels on the box were from CA not IL where Nature's is located, so I assumed they were shipped from another hatchery.
The chicks were actually shipped August 25th (one day earlier than stated) and arrived today (August 27th). They all seem happy, healthy and active. They came directly from Nature's Hatchery.
Overall...I am very pleased with my Nature's Hatchery experience. I never had any trouble getting a person on the phone when I called. I did get disconnected on one occasion and Spencer (the gentleman I was speaking with) called me right back on my cell phone.
I will update if anything abnormal happens with the chicks or ducklings.
