Just wondering if there is anyone near me who would be willing to sell a few eggs... Was supposed to pick up a doz for $2 today but seems like she didn't want to sell them for incubation for whatever reason, I dunno.. I just made my first bator but now have $2 in my pocket and no eggs... I will be honest, I don't have a lot of money.. (literally $2.00).. We have a *very* tight budget at the moment and cannot afford to buy from a hatchery or ebay... I am just trying to find someone who is close enough (St Pauls, Hope Mills, Fayetteville, Lumberton, Tar Heel, Elizabethtown, Dublin, Raeford, etc.) that I can get a dozen or so fertile "farm fresh eggs" to put in my bator to get a few more hens for my small flock (have 2 roos and 3 hens as of now), maybe sell a few chicks and teach my 10 year old a little about life.. Would LOVE to have a few EE, RIR, White Leghorns or BO... But, any would be appreciated, to include mutts!

Actually, the shipping cost would be far less than the gas to get there... Hmm... Have you learned how to pack eggs for shipping yet??

All I have are bantams and a few Barred Rocks that hasn't learned to squat to lay eggs and most are cracked. Get your incubator ready - I'll help you find some eggs!!
