I have a little group of 7 9-week old chicks who are happily residing in this coop. Here are some pictures from start to almost-finished. We have to put up the rest of the siding, the run and shingles on the roof and it will be 100%. It is a 8x6 with three windows -- the location gets some morning sun but then stays pretty nice and shady. The run will go out the side opposite the "human" door.
Frame getting started -- me with my fav dominique 'Lola'
The ladies check out the new digs
Salvaged door --$5 windows from craigslist and discounted siding made this a bit more budget friendly!
Primer on and make-shift roof so the chickens can move in!
Real roof goes up -- DH and his buddy were in charge of construction
I was in charge of paint!!! DH and my mutts walk away from a long day of work on the coop!
