If you read my post back along about the fox attack You'll know that the two survivors (Gatsby and his wife) were in residence in my broody run.
As I had a broody hen on eggs (now chicks.. yay!) I needed them out.
There's also the issue that the hen hasn't laid since the attack, and I don't expect her to now, so neither of them were contributing to the croft at all.
So we've made a movable run and small coop so they can be moved around the veg garden so they can keep the grass and weeds down and cost me significantly less in bought feed


It's made out of scrap we had hiding round the back of sheds. Plastic water pipe for the frame which makes it really light to move around, stock netting covered with chicken wire, both taken off other fencing.
The "coop" is an old wheelie bin with a door screwed on.
There seems to be enough ventilation in there, but I may add a proper vent in the future.
