I have a 8 week old chick, vaccinated for mareks at hatchery. Has been what seems like involuntarily swaying her neck. I’ve looked up wry neck and symptoms don’t seem the same, her neck isn’t going underneath her legs or staying to the side. She gets layer crumbles still and is still in brooder but we bring outside weekly. Attached is a video that’s not great but shows what she’s doing. Not sure if this might be a crop problem? Any ideas?

There's only an image attached. To post a video you need to upload it either to the gallery here or another site like youtube first.

Hard to say without seeing it but could it just be the crop adjustment thing they do sometimes? That looks like kind of a head wobble/sway/bob type motion.

At 8 weeks old layer crumbles don't have the nutritional balance she needs. It also has too much calcium for her. I would consider putting her on a starter/grower or all flock feed to meet her nutritional needs.

I would also give her some vitamins (1/4 b-complex and some vitamin e and a little egg to help with the uptake of the vit e.

She's adjusting her crop in the video.

Be sure to provide Grit (Crushed Granite) for your pullet.

An 8 week old chick should still be on Chick Starter or an All Flock Feed that has low calcium.

Re-check the crop first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink, if it's not emptied, then begin addressing that symptom. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...w-to-know-which-one-youre-dealing-with.73607/
