Thanks... It was a bit of a shock for me when the final report came back saying Marek's.

Despite my best efforts, the hen died yesterday. Have her packed and ready to FedEx to the lab... Should have preliminary necropsy results by tomorrow afternoon.

So sorry, she looked so ill.

I can only imagine. I feel very bad for you and your peeps. Are any of your birds vaccinated? Do you know how they got it?

Thanks to both of you, I hate losing any, but the purebreds and pets are always harder, she was both. As for how I got Marek's in my flock I know exactlly how... I brought the first strain home from the boarding stable where we used to keep horses, the the other strains from my "rescues" at the local feed store.

Funny Casportpony, that reads almost the same as my first one and they said it wasn't Marek's, but could come up with no other diagnosis.
