Need a little help

I recently acquired what I think to be 3 roosters. Two of which look perhaps like Rhode Island Red or Production Reds. I can't tell though. The third is a Barred Rock.

I have a picture of two of the three, as that was all I was able to catch!

I can use some help....

Here is the first one...rooster or hen? Rhode Island Red, production....what?


Here is the other one, a Barred Rock. Rooster?

The legs on your barred rock hints at a hen, but everything else (to me) screams cockerel. Your other one looks like a cockerel. Good luck.

I am happy to hear that, and that was what I thought I was getting when I got them. However, I do have a question for you, or anyone really: what is the tell tale sign or signs that make you say that?

I have looked a bunch over the web to find information, but it is still difficult...anything would help. Thanks.

barred rock hens have a darker look to them where as the males look whiter and going by comb and wattle size and color compared to age
