NEED?! a roo?

someone told me today that I need to have a roo around for my girls to start laying?! Is this BS?

my little flock in only 3 weeks old so I am not too worried... but I really DON"T want a rooster ( not to mention the fact that I live in the city and they are illegal)....has anyone every heard this before?

It's BS You don't need Rooster! Your hens will lay regardless.

Only need for a Rooster is to make chicks, you will still get eggs without one.

u only need a roo if u want them to have their own babies to further ur chicken count!
