Ok so for some reason I’m having a difficult time with only TWO ducks with water and messiness in the coop.
I have had Rouen’s and Pekin’s max amount a dozen and it’s been a tad cleaner with the water.
I have two 6 week old Pekin’s now and they are so NAUGHTY!!! LOL. I bought a water container specifically for ducks, that seems to make an even bigger mess. I have a 5 gallon water container for the chickens but due to the plastic top, I’m skeptical of hanging it. I want to do something different so it’s not so messy. What do some of you have for feed/water supply set up so there isn’t such a mess and so much waste?

I was contemplating the K&H Duck Waterer. I had heard they still make a mess in the individual cups (turn their food into mash, etc). But the cups are supposed to be removable...
More details??

But to help with your question... I saw a NC guy on youtube (the fit farmer, or something like that) who separated the water from the ducks with fencing. The ducks had to stick their heads through the fence to drink (and the water access was deep enough for them to dunk their bills and eyes), but they couldn't do much else. Obviously different sized fencing is needed for different ducks or ages, etc.

Unfortunately ducks are messy. If you find a way they aren't you'd become rich overnight. :)
I wish I could figure that one out and become rich lol. Seems like the more ducks I had, the less messy it was. Or maybe it’s just been awhile.
last time I had ducks was 2018 so it wasn’t that long ago but I trying to get other ideas on what types of watering solutions to use.

K&H waterer cups are removable and easy to clean but food, dirt, mud, poop does get in there and makes it messy quickly.
