Need advice for ducklings due anyday....

so once they hatch do you think mama duck will be content being kept in her coop or should i open it and allow her access to the small fenced area as well? Will she keep them warm or do i need to put a warming lamp in the coop?

I like to provide mothers and their babies a secure coop and run, so males and predators cannot attack them, you will only need to provide food, water, and shelter, she will take care of the heat.
