Hello all,
I got one drake and two females a month and a half ago and have still not seen any eggs. He said they were about a year old each. I feed them the layer feed about a cup a day and some fresh veggies and maybe some fruit too. In the morning they do lots of bug hunting around the yard but the rest of the day they remain in the corner of the back yard. I have checked under all the bushes and can't find any eggs. I even made them a little nest box and still nothing.
I thought at first it was a change of environment and the cold weather here in RI but it has really warmed up and still nothing, They were free range feral from this man's farm when I got them so they don't want anything to do with me so I try to limit my interaction with them to limit extra stress.
Also I have noticed one of the females is now missing all her feathers in the back of her neck. I saw my drake once pecking at her but have never seen him attempt his role but I don't know if they do that stuff at night.
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks so much.
