Ok so I had a hen die yesterday. I think her father had heart or liver problems and I bred without knowing this. So im getting in a new rooster soon I'm hoping. Now my question is, is there a way I can dye a hens vent, or something safely to say I collect those eggs? I have alot more hens from that rooster that had health issues, so I don't want to collect theirs to hatch just incase. However I have other hens un related and want to collect theirs. How can I tell their eggs apart??
