need advice..

i have new young cockerel that is developing
a drooping comb..
what i want to know is with this affect him as
he fully matures? will he lose vision because of it drooping
over or can he loose balance while he walks?

Is he a Danish Brown Leghorn? He should be fine, but I can't guarantee that if another rooster fights with him, that it won't turn up missing. I have a BBR araucana roo with a drooping comb and its upsetting me too. I'm wondering if it might turn up missing.

well normally with a rooster of this type dubbing is the normal. I think he would look much better dubbed, but if you decide not to the flopping comb will not hurt him at all.

he should be alright alot of hens get 'over-combs' and they seem to do fine

Yes it could be done at the vet but a good pair of scissors is all you need. I do all mine myself. Honestly a vet would prolly charge more than the chickens is worth. Just cut it off and throw a little flour on it to help stop the bleeding and he will be fine. There is alot of videos on the Internet to show you how it's done
